Change of Form Teacher

Dear parents and pupils,

This is Mr Cheng here.  As announced by our Principal, Mrs Choy, yesterday morning at flag raising ceremony, I will be leaving Eunos Primary School to pursue my studies in the National Institute of Education (NIE) come end July this year.

Mr Steve Goh, who may have taught some of the pupils in Primary 2 last year, has taken over as the form teacher with effect from today.  He will also take over this blog and continue to update the homework as well as announcements from here.

I want to thank all of you parents for your relentless belief and unwavering support for the last 2 terms by allowing me to be your child's teacher and I am sure with Mr Goh's guidance, the children will do better and score for their tests.

Till we meet again, take care of yourselves and have a great 2011!

Regards,
Mr Cheng

School reopens in 4 day's time

Hi parents and children,

School reopens next Monday on 27 June 2011 so it's time to start packing our bags and get ready for the new school term.

I hope the 2 days of remedial had been helpful in the managing of mathematics problem sums. Do remember to bring your thermometers on Monday too!

For the upcoming Terms 3 & 4, we will be embarking on an exciting learning adventure as we will be applying the concepts we learnt in Terms 1 & 2 onto more advanced topics. I won't say it will be an easy journey but I'm sure with support from the parents, hard work by the children and guidance by the teachers, we can do it!

Hope to see the children all happy and healthy on Monday!!

Regards,
Mr Cheng

P3/3 Blog is back!!

Hi all pupils and parents of P3/3,

Sorry I took so long to "revive" the blog after it was being locked out.  Hopefully, from now onwards, we can use the blog in peace.I have uploaded new pictures of the class activities so do take a look at the photograph page!

Firstly, I would like to thank the parents for coming to meet me at the last Parent-Teacher Meeting on 27 May 2011.  It was a fruitful time and I hope through the meeting, we can work better to help the pupils improve!

Secondly, as the SA1 results of the class have not been up to P3/3's standards, I have called for a holiday remedial on 20 & 21 June 2011 (Monday and Tuesday) from 9am to 12 noon at Eunos Primary School.  The purpose of the remedial is so that I can revise through what we have gone through in Terms 1 and 2.  This will hopefully help the pupils manage the new topics that would be taught in Terms 3 and 4.

Lastly, come Term 3, there will be an additional teacher that would be co-teaching with me in P3/3.  The additional teacher would also mean that each child would have more attention and guidance from 2 teachers instead of 1.  Through this effort, I really hope to help the pupils improve.

Till we meet on 20 June, please complete the holiday homework given as soon as possible so you can enjoy the rest of the school holidays!

Yours sincerely,
Mr Cheng
